It's a six days' trip, an
adventurous trip full of emotions in the very heart of
the Orgoloso, Oliena, Dorgali and Baunei mountains; it's
hike in a wild environment, across creeks, cliffs,
caves, rivers and the fragrant Mediterranean bush.
You will cross century
old holm-oak woods, huge chalky arches, old sheep-folds
and breathtaking views on the footsteps of goat-herds
and charcoal burners.
The most appropriate
months for this trek are the spring and autumn months.
The guides will lead you accross the Gennargentu
Supramonte, the different creeks of the Orosei gulf,
for 5 to 8 days. You will rest at night in various
sheep-folds or on beaches. You will discover the
Tiscali cave, the Gorropu canyon, the
Golgo plateau and some of the creeks on Baunei
plateau territory such as Ispuligidenie, Cala Biriŕla
and Cala Goloritzé, and in the end, you will discover
the Orgoloso "muralčs" (wall frescoes on the
village houses) which are about some periods of
Sardinian history.
